Nell Crandall (1923-2013) was born in Moran, Texas and moved to Houston, Texas after she graduated from the University of Texas in 1944. Apart from her job at the Humble Oil and Refining Company, Nell was also a passionate gardener and a member of the Houston Area Daylily Society. Her love for gardening directly inspired her serigraph still-life prints, which feature various floral and plant species.
